The Kent Creativity Festival is a great example of what happens when you bring together talented people, give them a bunch of things to create with and plenty of room to play.
Before you know it, creativity is busting out all over.
The KSU College of the Arts is chock full of arts resources and the annual Creativity Festival is the day that they let them all loose on the great lawn of the Esplanade to run free with their ideas and share the joy of self expression through the arts with the Festival attendees.
The Festival is the motherlode of creative expression that taps into a rich vein of creatives that are attracted to Kent’s free ranging-creative-lifestyle.
The Festival is their chance to celebrate a day dedicated to their life’s passion.
To top it off, a class of Kent middle-schoolers turn the Festival into a class media production project — serving as the official “unofficial” filmographers for the event, documenting the day’s events and telling the stories that bubble up from the creative chaos during the course of the day.
This year’s movie release is another must-see “creative-mentary.”
