Spread the word: the City’s Economic Development Director has announced the availability of the 2009 Celebrate Kent grant funds. They said it couldn’t be done but Dan is actually loosening his white knuckle death grip on his checkbook and is looking for good ideas and great events for the City to support in 2009. Recognizing that sometimes you have to spend money to make money, Dan has $10,000 available that he hopes to distribute as seed money for as many Kent events as possible in 2009. Kent events are fun to enjoy if you live here and they bring people with money in their pockets to spend in our shops in our community. That’s a win win. And watching Dan spend money…priceless.
