One of the more exciting new construction projects underway right now in Kent is the long-awaited Kent Skatepark. Kent Parks and Recreation has hired a contractor who is busy building concrete ramps, railings and edges for all those free-stylers out there to rip and ride. The new skatepark is on Admore Drive in Kent between Fairchild Avenue and S.R. 59, just behind the Klaben Dealership. The Parks Director told me that he is hopeful that the park could be opened by September.
