In the days before the Kent State University Hotel and Conference Center we’d be green with envy for those cities that always seemed to get the best conferences in their own backyard.
Fast forward to April 13-14th 2015 and our green has turned into the Greentown Kent Conference that will focus on promoting sustainable communities beginning with an up close and personal look at Kent, Ohio.
Kent’s been green long before green was trending on twitter so hosting a conference doesn’t necessarily make us any greener but it does help Kent spread the gospel of green and showcase environmental stewardship in our hometown.
Plus, it’s hard not to rekindle green passions when you’re hanging out with so many like-minded green-folk, telling green stories, and sharing a commitment to a green lifestyle.
With all due respect to St. Patty’s Day I’m not talking leprechaun green; I’m talking the green that comes from taking care of Mother Earth, preserving natural resources, celebrating walking, biking and sustainable living in all its organic glory.
Spring seems like it’s finally trying to punch it’s way through all this snow and it’s a great time to rejoice in all things green.
I hope you can join us at the Greentown Kent event.
